What do you looking forward to most about your role?:
"I’m looking forward to bringing the club together as we welcome our new novices into the group and allow our old members to enjoy their time here after the disruption from COVID"
What advice would you give a new club member?:
"I would tell new members just to enjoy themselves nothing more nothing less! Archery is great!"
What do you love most about archery?:
"I would say my favourite thing about archery is how calming it is when you’re shooting."
What is your favourite thing about the club?:
"My favourite thing about UBAC is the our session times where we make up different things or rounds to shoot. It’s all about having fun and improving your skills."
Main Responsibilities for Social and Events Officer

Organise annual Agincourt meal as well as the termly socials (Christmas and Spring) with help from the Welfare Officer if needed.

Organise Harborne Runs.

Organise the social after the Birmingham BUTTS leg and be responsible for providing information to other clubs for other BUTTS legs and events.

In the event of the Club hosting larger competitions such as BUCS and BUTC, the Events Officer will be responsible for organising any corresponding social events.
Joint Responsibilities with the Social and Welfare Officer

Summer social will be run jointly by the Events and Welfare Officers so both can gain early experience running a larger social.

Both officers will be responsible for liaising with the Bristol Pear to collect sponsorship.

Welfare and Events Officers will share responsibilities when needed, to ensure club wellbeing and event frequency are maintained to a high standard.

Both officers will be responsible for organising the UBAC Tour at the end of the year with the assistance of a Tour committee if they choose

Where possible, one officer should be present at every social, however, if neither can attend then there must be clear delegation (Sports Nights do not always have to be run by a Social Officer).

The Social Officers should make it clear who oversees each social and should inform the committee of this or, in the case of them delegating, who is running it.

The Social Officers should meet regularly (every six weeks) to decide on what socials they want to run and who will be responsible for them.
