Main Responsibilities of Secretary

● Affiliate club to Archery GB (payment involved), region and county using sport 80.

● Make sure the relevant information is taken during the have-a-goes for new members:

○ Name

○ Email

○ Gender

○ Age

○ DOB

○ Student number

○ AGB number (if shot before/experienced)

○ Set everyone’s address as the Sports Centre.

● Ensure everyone receives their AGB membership E-card and if not; contact membership@archerygb.zendesk.com who will help you sort it out.

● Attend/organise frequent committee meetings. Type out agenda, then type up minutes and distribute them to committee, club members and coach.

● Send a weekly club update email with details of upcoming events and relevant items from committee meetings (if relevant).

● Organise AGM and any EGMs. Make and cut out voting slips which can be distributed and collected back in. Create an anonymous google document for postal votes of those unable to attend. Set time, date and venue (with Social Secretary). Count up slips and take records for the committee drive.

● Keep a record of members' contact numbers; particularly committee members and distribute to S&F and BUTTS League Organisers.

● Send committee member information to Chris Anthony.

● Keep a record of people who try archery with the club but are not insured E.G. – Have-a-goes and Try A Sport.

● Write any necessary correspondence to other institutions, such as different clubs for friendly shoots, (clubs in BUTTS etc).

● Look after correspondence from the County of Warwick Archery Association (CWAA) and West Midlands Archery Society (WMAS) and work alongside the treasurer to pay the yearly fees from CWAA, WMAS and BUTTS.

● Assist other committee members to keep things running smoothly throughout the year, especially the Club Captain and Treasurer.​
